Top ten things I am enjoying about living in the nation's capital area, right now: (in no particular order)
2. Natural History Museum. Free of charge and free parking.
3. The flowers on my street, in my neighborhood, in this climate
4. Access to good grocery options
6. Our kid's school
7. The friends we've met - the area is transient and we are missing some of you!
8. Parkway closed to traffic on Sundays - open to bikes and famillies
9. close to University - teaching opps for my husband
10. There is no charge to visit the zoo! So we never hurry around & can just go for an hour or two until the kids get tired.
I go back and forth, as anyone does I imagine, about the pros and cons of raising a family in a bigger city. But, I am reminded of all the affordable or free, exclusive entertainment/educational options my children are afforded and exposed to and I am thankful for our place just now.
