The regular commitment to my inklings project has not been quite what I intended. I have to tell you it's putting myself in a very vulnerable position, publicly sharing this half-baked, quick-sketch stuff rather than anything that I have thought through and would consider a better example of my capabilities.
With travel and life distractions I seem always rushed and not very relaxed as I create, it's more a matter of churning something out, and this is not an assembly line type of skill. That's not what I had in mind. Still, there is something to show, good or indifferent seems to matter less than the fact that I have a start, and there is evidence of thoughts on paper. Progress.
Since the summer results have felt this way to me, I'm continuing the project into the fall and have decided to make a spiral bound book of them at the end of September: inklings, vol. 1. Just to keep them together, not for consumption. I'm not there yet.
