[an emailed snapshot recently sent from a lovely, lovely client.]
I've been busy this week. Busy with the real work that puts food on our table and electrons in the laptop.
I haven't talked a lot about our company, Pattern Builders, in this space, but it has been occupying so much of my time lately; it consumes me. The web site content (not live yet) is coming together so nicely, and there are photo shoots, awards submissions, and event promotions to be managed. It's a busy time. All good.
One thing that I'm really excited about is the inclusion of people in the photos of their homes. That's one thing that really drew me to the spreads in Domino (RIP; thank goodness I am a hoarder of past issues) ... images of people IN their spaces. We, I'm proud to say, are doing the same. You so seldom see that in architects and builders communications materials, but that is what the work is ALL about. Seeing hands preparing a salad, or a child rushing across a room ... that gorgeous new kitchen IN USE ... it humanizes the story. It is the real thing.
There is even a shot of the family dog. Too cute.
People (typically families) are the reason we do what we do. Whether it's a new custom home from the ground up, or a modest upgrade, our clients are investing a LOT to bring their surroundings in line with lifestyle needs. I hope seeing their own small gallery section of our new site makes them happy. It is such a pleasure to pull it all together.
