Butterick #3983, sewn in IKEA Fredrika
In two weeks since I made this apron I've literally worn it daily. All this wearing and washing has given it a super comfy broken-in feeling. Amy Butler says of aprons that they are "to daily fashion what pillows are to interiors. An instant upgrade." So true; I'm feeling that.
As someone who works from home I reach for my standard jeans, khakis and white Ts everyday. Donning my apron is much more than a splash guard, it's marks a shift from one role to another. I'm on a bit of an apron kick these days; already cutting two more. No better way to learn than through repetition.
