Just for fun, and since Thursday actually is discount day at our local thrift shop, I'm opening up a new topic. Sometimes I'll share something re-worked, or freshened up. Other times something useful as is.
My interest in thrifting has come full circle: from my early twenties of vintage cardigans over favorite jeans, to my late twenties when I turned my back on second-hand, discarding every such item I owned, to now when I just can't deny it -- a deal's a deal. Not only that, but if something is coming into our home I'm going to love it, and it should contribute to the mood we (and when I say we I mean I) want to create. You don't need to spend a lot to achieve that goal. Of this I'm certain.
Enter Marty's new bedroom clock. It's just the look I'm going for in his room, sort of retro/classic. The headlight shaped Westclock baby ben came home with us today for $1.20. I'll take a virtual high five on that.
Are you a thrift-seeker? Why not join me for Thursday posts in your space.

update: I just found a group pool at flickr called 'Thrift Thursdays'. Of course someone has already started this. Okay then, I'll be sharing these photos there.
