Today I am thankful for my enthusiastic kitchen helper.
These simple interactions are the most precious bit of time in my days. His excitement over helping out -- not just where cookie batter is concerned, but in doing real work: loading wood scraps into the truck, planting seeds, or carrying stacks of books upstairs -- is remarkable. He wants so much to make a meaningful contribution, and he does. Great work ethic little guy!
