I made these a couple of years ago with some thin wood scraps, decorative paper and supplies, but never got any good photos at the time. This year instead of hanging I arranged them with greens on a big tray. The idea is that each day we'll flip one over to reveal a scripture reference prophesying the birth of Christ, to read with the kids in the quiet hour before bedtime.
That's the idea anyway. Two years ago some of the passages were a little too long and complex to hold their interest, and the plan went by the wayside. I really hope to work through that this year, as it's a habit I'd like to build into our holiday traditions going forward.
The suggested verses were published in an old magazine called 'Christmas Ideas 2000'. The article has been in my inspiration collection that long. Off to do the first one right now ...
