My home is a little spare just now, which I'm really enjoying for the total lifestyle ease. I've been vigilant about casting off anything that doesn't work for our family; really getting down to bare bones of what we need, and what pleases. As a result I'm more keenly aware of the pleasure of a few small luxuries for the senses. With the power outages we experienced in September candles have been a neccesitiy and (while I'm usually not a huge fan of scented wax) I'm pretty enamored of the mercury glass Capri Blue Volcano with it's clean not-to-sweet citrus-y base. And while hand soap for the powder room is a staple, I justify the higher price of Mrs. Meyers (parsely) because it smells and feels so very good. A few blooms from a local garden center make a huge impact.
